Job Description

Position Purpose:

The Claims Clerk provides administrative support to the claims processing teams for all lines of business. Positions is responsible for processing of rejected claims as generated by the claims scanning vendor. Position is responsible for logging, tracking and distribution of provider requests for reprocessing. Position is also responsible for running robotic processing applications which electronically processes claims. Additionally, position is responsible to work specific claims pends, in conjunction with the claims processing staff.

  • Log, track and distribute of provider requests for reprocessing
  • Process scanning vendor claims rejections
  • Run and report on robotic processing applications
  • Complete claims pend reports timely and accurately
  • Special projects, inclusive of claims research

Education:

  • High school or equivalent

Years of Experience:

  • 1 year clerical experience

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of provider billing forms
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 (when applicable
  • Knowledge of CPT Codes and HCPCs codes
